3. Physical Overview

The EAP225 features a sleek, low-profile design suitable for ceiling or wall mounting. It includes internal omni-directional antennas and a Gigabit Ethernet port for network connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE).

5.1 Using TP-Link Omada Controller Software

The Omada Controller software provides centralized management for hundreds of EAPs. It allows for easy setup, monitoring, and configuration of your wireless network. Download the latest version of the Omada Controller software from the official TP-Link website.

  1. Install the Omada Controller software on a computer within the same network as your EAP225.
  2. Launch the software and follow the on-screen instructions to discover and adopt your EAP225.
  3. Configure your Wi-Fi settings, including SSIDs (network names), security protocols (WPA2-PSK recommended), and passwords for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.

5.2 Web-based Management Interface (Standalone Mode)

For single EAP deployments or initial setup, you can access the web-based management interface directly.

  1. Connect your computer to the same network as the EAP225.
  2. Find the IP address assigned to the EAP225 (e.g., via your router's DHCP client list or using a network scanner).
  3. Open a web browser and enter the EAP225's IP address.
  4. Log in using the default username and password (typically 'admin' for both, you will be prompted to change them).
  5. Navigate through the interface to configure wireless settings, network parameters, and other advanced features.
