Setup
1. Unboxing and Initial Setup
Your Logitech M720 Triathlon mouse package includes the mouse itself, a Logitech Unifying Receiver, and a user guide. An AA battery is pre-installed.
2. Battery Installation
The mouse comes with one AA battery pre-installed. To access the battery compartment or replace the battery:
- Turn the mouse over.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the underside.
- Slide the cover off to reveal the battery slot.
- Insert or replace the AA battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.

3. Connecting Your Mouse
The M720 Triathlon mouse offers two connection methods: the Logitech Unifying Receiver (USB dongle) or Bluetooth Low Energy.
a. Via Logitech Unifying Receiver (USB)
- Locate the Unifying receiver stored inside the battery compartment of the mouse.
- Plug the Unifying receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Turn on the mouse using the On/Off switch on the underside.
- The mouse should automatically connect.
b. Via Bluetooth Low Energy
- Turn on the mouse using the On/Off switch on the underside.
- Press the Easy-Switch button (labeled 1, 2, or 3) on the side of the mouse for 3 seconds until the LED light next to the number starts blinking rapidly. This indicates pairing mode.
- On your computer or device, open Bluetooth settings.
- Select "Logitech M720" from the list of available devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete pairing.
- The LED light will glow solid for 5 seconds when connected.

4. Install Logitech Options Software (Recommended)
For full customization of buttons, gesture controls, and advanced features, download and install the Logitech Options software from the official Logitech website (www.logitech.com/options). This software is compatible with Windows and macOS.
Operating Your Mouse
1. Basic Functions
- Left/Right Click: Standard mouse buttons for selection and context menus.
- Scroll Wheel: Used for vertical scrolling. It also functions as a middle click button.
2. Easy-Switch Functionality
The M720 Triathlon mouse allows you to pair with and switch between up to three different devices. Simply press the Easy-Switch button (1, 2, or 3) corresponding to the device you wish to control. The LED light will briefly illuminate next to the selected number.
3. Hyper-Fast Scrolling
The scroll wheel can switch between two modes: hyper-fast scrolling (free-spinning) and click-to-click (ratchet) scrolling. Press the button located directly below the scroll wheel to toggle between these modes.
4. Programmable Buttons
The M720 features several programmable buttons, including the two thumb buttons on the side and a hidden gesture button located on the thumb rest. These can be customized using the Logitech Options software to perform various functions, such as application switching, media control, or custom shortcuts.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning Your Mouse
To maintain optimal performance, regularly clean your mouse:
