Product Overview
The La Crosse Technology Wireless Temperature Station provides accurate indoor and outdoor temperature readings, along with indoor humidity levels. It features an easy-to-read display that also shows Hi/Lo temperature records and trend indicators. Designed for long-distance wireless transmission up to 330 feet, this monitor can read outdoor temperatures as low as -40°F. The time display is adjustable between 12-hour standard and 24-hour formats, and temperature units can be switched between Fahrenheit and Celsius. This battery-operated system offers convenient weather monitoring at a glance.

What's Included
- Indoor Base Station (Main Display Unit)
- Wireless Outdoor Sensor (TX141 series compatible)
- Quick Setup Guide
Please note: 2 AAA batteries for the main unit and 2 AA batteries for the outdoor sensor are not included.
Setup Guide
1. Battery Installation
Install batteries into both the outdoor sensor and the main display unit. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) as indicated in the battery compartments.
- Outdoor Sensor: Requires 2 AA batteries.
- Main Display Unit: Requires 2 AAA batteries.

2. Sensor Placement
Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources, to ensure accurate temperature readings. Direct sunlight can cause artificially inflated temperature readings. The sensor can be mounted using a screw through the designated hole or hung from a screw head using the keyhole slot on the back.

3. Initial Connection
Once batteries are installed, the main display unit and outdoor sensor should automatically connect. The outdoor temperature will appear on the display. If the connection is not established, ensure both units are within the 330-foot transmission range and try re-inserting the batteries.

Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your temperature monitor, regular maintenance is recommended:
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit and the outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Using high-quality alkaline batteries is recommended for longer life.
- Cleaning: Wipe the display and units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Sensor Placement Check: Periodically check the outdoor sensor's placement to ensure it remains in a shaded area and is not exposed to direct sunlight or excessive moisture.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your La Crosse Technology Wireless Temperature Monitor, consider the following common solutions:
- No Outdoor Temperature Reading:
- Ensure batteries are correctly installed in both units and are not depleted.
- Verify the outdoor sensor is within the 330-foot transmission range of the main unit.
- Reduce obstacles between the sensor and the main unit (e.g., thick walls, large metal objects).
- Try re-syncing the sensor by removing batteries from both units, waiting a few minutes, then re-inserting batteries into the sensor first, followed by the main unit.
- Inaccurate Temperature Readings:
- Check that the outdoor sensor is not in direct sunlight or near a heat source (e.g., exhaust vents, windows reflecting heat).
- Ensure the main unit is not placed near heat-generating appliances indoors.
- Display Issues:
- If the display is dim or blank, replace the batteries in the main unit.
