Setup
Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the starter kit are present. Place the unit on a flat, stable, and dry surface.
Installing a New Roll and Making the First Seal
- Open the roll storage compartment.
- Insert a new FoodSaver vacuum seal roll into the designated position within the open roll storage.
- Pull the end of the roll through the slot and align it with the lower seal and cut bar.
- Engage the lower seal and cut bar to create the initial bottom seal for your first bag. This prepares the roll for immediate use.

Operating Instructions
Vacuum Sealing Bags
This function is used for vacuum sealing food in FoodSaver bags.
- Place the food item into a FoodSaver vacuum seal bag, leaving at least 3 inches of space from the top.
- Insert the open end of the bag into the vacuum channel of the appliance. Use the Vacuum View Window to ensure proper alignment and placement.
- Press the One-Touch Vacuum and Seal Bar. The appliance will automatically remove air from the bag and then create a strong, airtight seal.
- Wait for the indicator light to turn off before removing the sealed bag.

Using the Express Bag Maker
The Express Bag Maker simplifies creating custom-sized bags from a roll.
- With a roll installed (as per Setup instructions), pull the bag material to the desired length for your food item. The lower position allows you to use your countertop as a workspace for accurate measurement.
- Lock the bag material in place. The system will automatically create a seal for the next ready-to-use bag.
- Use the integrated cutter bar to cut the bag to your measured length.
- The newly formed bag is now ready for vacuum sealing.

Using the Retractable Handheld Sealer
The handheld sealer is ideal for FoodSaver zipper bags, containers, and accessories.
- Ensure the handheld sealer is properly connected to the accessory port on the main unit.
- Place the handheld sealer nozzle over the vacuum port of the FoodSaver zipper bag or accessory.
- Press the accessory button on the main unit to begin the vacuum process.
- The unit will automatically stop when the air is removed and a vacuum is achieved.

PulseVac Function
For delicate foods that might be crushed by a full vacuum, use the PulseVac function.
- Insert the bag into the vacuum channel as you would for standard vacuum sealing.
- Press and hold the PulseVac button to begin vacuuming.
- Release the button when the desired amount of air has been removed, or just before the food begins to compress.
- Immediately press the Seal button to create an airtight seal.
Rapid Marinate Mode
This mode allows for quick marinating of food in FoodSaver marinating containers.
- Place food and marinade into a FoodSaver marinating container.
- Connect the retractable handheld sealer to the container's vacuum port.
- Press the Marinate button on the main unit. The system will cycle through a vacuum and release process to infuse flavor quickly.
- The cycle will complete automatically.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning the Drip Tray
The pull-out drip tray catches any overflow liquids during the vacuum sealing process.
- Ensure the appliance is unplugged before cleaning.
- Gently pull out the drip tray drawer located at the front of the unit.
- Empty any collected liquids. The drip tray is dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning.
