Important Safety Instructions
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

- A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
- Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
- Do not operate unattended.
- Do not use with foods that have frosting or glaze.

Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials. Ensure all components are present and undamaged.
- Placement: Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials such as curtains or walls. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the toaster.
- First Use: Before first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (7) a few times to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions

- Insert Bread: Place up to two slices of bread, bagels, or other items into the toasting slots. The self-centering guides will automatically adjust to hold the bread evenly.
- Select Browning Level: Turn the browning control dial to your desired setting, from 1 (lightest) to 7 (darkest). A medium setting (3-4) is recommended for most bread types.
- Lower Lever: Press the toast lever down until it latches. The toasting cycle will begin.
- Special Functions:
- Defrost: Press the Defrost button after lowering the lever to toast frozen bread. This function adds extra time to the toasting cycle to thaw and then toast.
- Bagel: Press the Bagel button after lowering the lever to toast bagels. This function toasts the cut side of the bagel while gently warming the outer side.
- Reheat: Press the Reheat button after lowering the lever to warm already toasted bread without further browning.
- Cancel Toasting: To stop the toasting cycle at any time, press the Cancel button. The toast will automatically pop up.
- Remove Toast: Once the toasting cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up. Use the high-lift lever to safely retrieve smaller items without touching hot surfaces.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Always unplug the toaster from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Crumb Tray:

To remove accumulated crumbs, slide out the removable crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster. Discard crumbs and wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly before reinserting. Ensure the crumb tray is fully inserted before using the toaster.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as these can scratch the surface.
- Interior: Do not insert any objects into the toasting slots to clean. If food becomes lodged, unplug the toaster and carefully remove the food after the toaster has cooled.
- Storage: When not in use, store the toaster in a clean, dry place. You can wrap the power cord around the cord storage area (if available) at the bottom of the toaster.
