Product Features

  • Engine Temperature Meter: Equipped with TS002 temp sensor for real-time engine component temperature measurement. Features a preset temperature alert. Temperature range: -20℃ to 300℃ (-4℉ to 572℉).
  • Tachometer/Hour Meter: Records total hours and displays real-time RPM when the engine is on. Displays total hours when the engine is off. Includes a countdown timer for regular maintenance tasks and an individual RPM alert for exceeding preset values. RPM range: 0 to 25,000 RPM. Total hours range: 0 to 99,999 hours. Service maintenance timer range: 0 to 200 hours.
  • Waterproof Design: Favorable water resistance up to IP67.
  • Backlight Display: Features 2 colors of backlights. Green is default and can be set to always on, off, or sleeping. Red indicates maintenance arrival, temperature alerts, or RPM exceed alerts.
  • Replaceable Battery: Built-in CR2032 battery is replaceable.

Setup and Installation

1. Battery Activation

The device comes with a pre-installed CR2032 battery. Before first use, locate the battery compartment on the back of the meter. Remove the insulating sheet to activate the battery. Ensure the battery is correctly seated before closing the compartment.

2. Mounting the Meter

The meter can be mounted using either the provided double-sided tape (stick-on) or screws (screw-on).

  • Stick-on Mounting: Clean the desired mounting surface thoroughly. Apply the double-sided tape to the back of the meter and firmly press the meter onto the surface.
  • Screw-on Mounting: Use the provided bolts, nuts, and washers to secure the meter to a suitable location. Ensure the mounting is stable and does not interfere with engine operation.

3. Engine Signal Pickup (Tachometer)

Connect the signal pickup wire to the spark plug cable. Wrap the signal wire 5-8 times around the spark plug cable. This allows the meter to detect engine RPM.

4. Temperature Sensor Installation

Attach the TS002 probe sensor to the engine nut or another suitable metal surface where temperature measurement is desired. Ensure good contact for accurate readings. The internal dimension of the temp sensor is 14mm.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

The meter automatically powers on when the engine starts or when the insulating sheet is removed from the battery. To turn off the meter, press and hold the 'M' and 'S' buttons simultaneously for approximately 2 seconds until the display shows "OFF".

2. Display Modes

Press the 'M' button to cycle through different display modes:

  • Real-time Temperature: Displays the current engine temperature.
  • Maximum Temperature: Shows the highest temperature recorded during operation.
  • Real-time RPM: Displays the engine's revolutions per minute when the engine is running.
  • Total Hours (TOT): Shows the total accumulated operating hours of the engine.
  • Partial Hours (JOB): Displays the operating hours for a single working period, which can be reset.
  • Service Timer (SVC): Shows the countdown for scheduled maintenance.

3. Setting Alerts and Backlight

Use the 'S' button to enter settings mode. Follow the on-screen prompts to set temperature alerts, RPM alerts, and adjust backlight modes (sleeping, always on, always off). The red backlight will activate when an alert condition is met or maintenance is due.

Maintenance

1. Service Interval Reminder

The meter features a Service (SVC) timer that can be set to remind you of regular maintenance tasks. When the countdown reaches zero, the red backlight will illuminate, indicating that service is due.

2. Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator shows low power, replace the CR2032 battery. Open the battery compartment on the back of the meter, remove the old battery, and insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up. Close the compartment securely.

3. Cleaning

Clean the meter's display and casing with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. The device is IP67 waterproof, allowing for exposure to water, but avoid prolonged submersion or high-pressure jets directly on the display.
