5. Setup
The insect killer is designed for simple setup and immediate use.
Placement:
- Choose a location where flying insects are prevalent, away from direct sunlight and strong air currents.
- Ensure the device is placed on a stable, flat surface or hung securely using the provided chain.
- For optimal performance, place the unit at a height of 1.5 to 2 meters (5 to 6.5 feet) from the floor.
- Keep the device away from food preparation areas or open food sources to avoid attracting insects to those areas.

Initial Use:
- Unpack the insect killer and remove all packaging materials.
- Place or hang the unit in the desired location.
- Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
- Flip the power switch to the "ON" position. The UV lights will illuminate, indicating the device is operational.
6. Operating Instructions
Once plugged in and switched on, the ASPECTEK Electric Insect Killer will begin to attract and eliminate flying insects.
- The UV lights attract insects towards the electrified grid.
- Insects flying into the grid are instantly zapped and fall into the removable collection tray below.
- For continuous insect control, leave the unit powered on.

7. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and bulb replacement ensure the longevity and effectiveness of your insect killer.
Cleaning the Collection Tray:
- Always unplug the device from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Gently pull out the removable collection tray located at the bottom of the unit.
- Dispose of the collected insects.
- Wash the tray with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly.
- Slide the clean, dry tray back into the unit until it clicks into place.
Cleaning the Grid:
- Ensure the device is unplugged.
- Use the provided cleaning brush to gently remove any insect debris from the electrified grid. Do not use water or wet cloths on the grid.
- Do not bend the grid wires.
UV Bulb Replacement:
UV bulbs have an average lifespan of 2,500 to 3,000 hours. Replace them when their light output diminishes to maintain effectiveness.

- Locate the screws holding the protective outer grid. Unscrew them and carefully lift the grid to access the bulbs.
- Gently twist and pull out the old UV bulbs from their sockets.
- Insert the new UV bulbs into the sockets, twisting them gently to secure.
- Replace the protective grid and tighten the screws securely.
