Setup

  1. Unpack the Headset: Carefully remove the headset and any included accessories from its packaging.
  2. Connect to Device: Locate the 3.5 mm audio jack on your computer, laptop, smartphone, or other compatible device. Insert the 3.5 mm jack of the headset firmly into the audio port.
  3. Adjust Headband: Place the headset on your head and adjust the headband by sliding the earcups up or down until they comfortably cover your ears.
  4. Position Microphone: Move the flexible microphone arm to a position near your mouth for clear voice transmission. Ensure it is not directly in front of your mouth to avoid breath noises.
  5. Initial Volume Check: Before playing audio or making calls, ensure your device's volume is set to a low level to prevent sudden loud sounds.

Operating Instructions

The MAXXTER ACT-MHS-003 Headset features an inline control unit on the cable for easy access to essential functions.

  • Volume Control: Use the rotary dial or slider on the inline control unit to increase or decrease the headset's volume. Turn the dial clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
  • Microphone Mute: The inline control unit typically includes a switch to mute or unmute the microphone. Flip the switch to the "Mute" position to disable the microphone, and back to the "Unmute" position to enable it.
  • Audio Playback: Once connected, your device should automatically recognize the headset. You can now play audio from your device through the headset.
  • Voice Communication: For VoIP calls or online gaming, ensure the headset is selected as the input and output device in your application's audio settings.

Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life of your headset.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the earcups and headband. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the headset in a clean, dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight. Avoid tangling the cable.
  • Cable Care: Do not pull the cable forcefully or wrap it too tightly around the headset, as this can damage the internal wires.
  • Avoid Moisture: Keep the headset away from water and high humidity.
