2. Safety Information

4. Installation Instructions

  2. From underneath the deck, place the rubber gasket, metal washer, and mounting nut onto the faucet shank.
  3. Secure the faucet body by tightening the mounting nut with the provided mounting screw. Do not overtighten.

4.3. Connect Water Supply and Sensor Cable

  1. Connect the 24-inch flex hose from the faucet body to the water supply line. Use appropriate plumbing tape or sealant as needed.
  2. Connect the 36-inch sensor cable from the faucet body to the designated port on the control box.
  3. Mount the control box in an accessible location under the sink, ensuring it is secure and protected from moisture.

4.4. Install Batteries

  1. Open the battery compartment on the control box.
  2. Insert the four (4) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

4.5. Final Steps

  1. Slowly turn on the main water supply and check for leaks.
  2. Test the faucet operation by placing hands within the sensor range.

5. Operating Instructions

The Sloan SF-2150 faucet is designed for simple, touch-free operation.

5.1. Automatic Activation

The faucet activates automatically when hands are placed within the sensor's detection zone. Water will flow for a preset duration or until hands are removed from the sensor's range.

5.2. Adjustable Infrared Sensor Range

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning the Faucet

  • Clean the polished chrome finish with a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive soap and water.

  • Periodically wipe the sensor window to ensure clear detection.

6.2. Battery Replacement

When the batteries are low, the faucet may exhibit inconsistent operation or stop working. Replace all four AA batteries simultaneously with new alkaline batteries.

  1. Turn off the water supply to the faucet.
  2. Locate the control box under the sink.
  3. Open the battery compartment.
  4. Remove the old batteries and dispose of them properly.
  5. Insert four new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  6. Close the battery compartment securely.
  7. Turn on the water supply and test the faucet.

The control box contains a filtered solenoid valve with a serviceable strainer filter. If water flow is reduced or inconsistent, the filter may need cleaning.

  1. Turn off the water supply to the faucet.
  2. Carefully disconnect the water lines from the solenoid valve within the control box.
  3. Remove the strainer filter.
  4. Rinse the filter under running water to remove any debris. If heavily clogged, a soft brush may be used.
  5. Reinsert the clean filter and reconnect the water lines, ensuring all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  6. Turn on the water supply and test the faucet.
