Setup and Installation
The Ecolight Motion Utility Light is designed for easy, flexible, and damage-free mounting using the included 3M Command Strips. No wiring is required.
Step 1: Prepare the Light
- Remove the back cover of the light.
- Locate and remove the clear plastic tab from the battery compartment. This activates the included AA batteries.
- Replace the back cover.
Step 2: Prepare the Mounting Surface
- Choose a clean, dry, and smooth surface for mounting.
- Clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth. Allow it to dry completely. Do not use household cleaners.
Step 3: Apply Command Strips
- Separate the two interlocking strips from each pair.
- Firmly press two strips together until they click. Repeat for all four strips.
- Remove the green liner from one side of each paired strip.
- Apply these strips to the designated flat areas on the back of the light. Press firmly.
- Remove the remaining liner from the exposed side of each strip.
Step 4: Mount the Light
- Align the light with the prepared surface.
- Press the light firmly against the surface for 30 seconds to ensure strong adhesion.

Operating Instructions
The Ecolight Motion Utility Light features motion-activated operation and an auto-off timer for energy efficiency.
- Motion Activation: The integrated 100-degree Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor detects motion up to 12 feet away. The light will only activate when it is dark and motion is detected, conserving battery life.
- Auto-Off Timer: After the light activates and no further motion is detected, it will automatically turn off after 30 seconds.
Maintenance
Battery Replacement
When the light output diminishes, it is time to replace the batteries.
- Carefully remove the light from its mounting surface. If using Command Strips, follow the removal instructions (pull tab straight down slowly).
- Remove the back cover of the light.
- Replace the three (3) AA batteries with new ones, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the back cover.
- Re-mount the light using new Command Strips if necessary, following the installation steps.
The light is rated for 52 hours of illumination on a full battery charge.
Troubleshooting
