3.2 Programming Your Devices

The remote offers three methods to program your devices. It is recommended to try Direct Code Entry first, as it is often the quickest method.

3.2.1 Direct Code Entry

This method uses a specific 4-digit code for your device's brand. Refer to the included code list or the product information section online for a comprehensive list of codes.

  1. Turn on the device you wish to program (e.g., TV, DVD player).
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button on the remote until the red indicator light illuminates.
  3. Press the device button (e.g., TV, DVD) corresponding to the device you are programming. The red indicator light will flash once and then remain lit.
  4. Enter the 4-digit code for your device's brand using the number buttons. After entering the last digit, the red indicator light should turn off.
  5. Test the remote by pressing the POWER button. If the device turns off, the programming was successful. If not, repeat the process with another code from the list for your brand, or try a different programming method.

3.2.2 Manual Code Search

If direct code entry is unsuccessful, you can manually search through the remote's built-in code library (up to 350 codes per device type).

  1. Turn on the device you wish to program.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator light illuminates.
  3. Press the device button (e.g., TV, DVD) corresponding to the device you are programming. The red indicator light will flash once and then remain lit.
  4. Repeatedly press the POWER button (or PROG+ / PROG-) on the remote. Each press sends a new code. Observe your device for a response (e.g., turning off, changing channel).
  5. Once your device responds, immediately press the SETUP button to save the code. The red indicator light will turn off.
  6. Test the remote's functions (e.g., volume, channel change) to confirm successful programming.

3.2.3 Automatic Code Search

This method automatically scans through the remote's code library until a compatible code is found.

  1. Turn on the device you wish to program.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator light illuminates.
  3. Press the device button (e.g., TV, DVD) corresponding to the device you are programming. The red indicator light will flash once and then remain lit.
  4. Press the POWER button once. The remote will begin automatically scanning through codes, indicated by the red light flashing continuously.
  5. Point the remote at your device and wait for it to respond (e.g., turn off, change channel).
  6. As soon as your device responds, immediately press any button (e.g., OK, EXIT) to stop the automatic search and save the code. The red indicator light will turn off.
  7. Test the remote's functions to confirm successful programming.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

To control a specific device, first press the corresponding device button (e.g., TV, DVD) at the top of the remote. The remote will then send commands for that selected device. For example, to change the channel on your TV, press the TV button, then use the PROG+ / PROG- buttons.

4.2 Smart TV Functions

The remote includes two dedicated buttons for enhanced Smart TV functionality:

  • SMART TV Button: Press this button to directly access your Smart TV's main interface or home screen.
  • APPS Button: Use this button to quickly open the applications menu on your Smart TV, allowing you to browse and launch installed apps.

4.3 Special Functions

4.3.1 Macro Power

The Macro Power function allows you to turn two AV devices on or off simultaneously with a single button press. This is useful for turning on your TV and a connected sound system at the same time.

(Specific setup instructions for Macro Power are typically found in the full manual's code list section. Generally, it involves assigning two device codes to a single power command.)

4.3.2 Channel Punch-Through

With Channel Punch-Through, the PROG+ / PROG- commands can bypass the currently controlled device and change the channels of a second, pre-selected device. All other commands will still control the primary selected device.

(Specific setup instructions for Channel Punch-Through are typically found in the full manual's code list section. This feature is often configured during the initial programming phase.)

4.3.3 Volume Punch-Through

Similar to Channel Punch-Through, the Volume Punch-Through function allows the VOL+ / VOL- commands to bypass the currently controlled device and adjust the volume of a second, pre-selected device. All other commands will continue to control the primary selected device.

(Specific setup instructions for Volume Punch-Through are typically found in the full manual's code list section. This feature is often configured during the initial programming phase.)

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

To clean your remote control, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild cleaning solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or alcohol, as these can damage the remote's surface or internal components.

5.2 Battery Replacement

Replace the batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or the indicator light does not illuminate. As mentioned in Section 3.1, the remote retains programmed codes for up to 10 minutes during battery replacement, allowing for a quick and seamless change.
