- Attach Casters to Base: Insert each of the five casters into the holes at the end of each spoke on the chair base. Push firmly until they click into place.
- Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled chair base. Cover the gas lift with the cylinder cover.

Operating Instructions
Your Flash Furniture Hercules Series office chair offers several adjustment options for personalized comfort.
1. Seat Height Adjustment
- To Raise: While seated, lift the pneumatic seat height adjustment lever located under the right side of the seat. Shift your weight slightly off the seat, and the chair will rise. Release the lever at the desired height.
- To Lower: While seated, lift the pneumatic seat height adjustment lever. Remain seated, and the chair will lower. Release the lever at the desired height.
2. Tilt and Tilt Lock
- To Recline/Rock: Pull the tilt lock lever (typically located under the left side of the seat) outwards. The chair back will now allow you to recline or rock.
- To Lock Upright: Push the tilt lock lever inwards. The chair will lock in an upright position.
3. Tilt Tension Adjustment
- The round knob located under the front-center of the seat controls the tilt tension.
- To Increase Tension (harder to recline): Turn the knob clockwise.
- To Decrease Tension (easier to recline): Turn the knob counter-clockwise.
4. Lumbar Support Adjustment
- The integrated lumbar support can be adjusted. Locate the adjustment mechanism on the back of the chair (often a dial or lever).

Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps preserve the appearance and functionality of your office chair.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the mesh back and padded seat with a damp cloth as needed. For more stubborn stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth, then wipe dry. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Casters: Periodically check casters for hair or debris that may hinder smooth movement. Clean as necessary.
- Hardware: Every few months, check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if loose to maintain stability.
- Gas Lift: Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the gas lift cylinder yourself. If it malfunctions, contact customer support.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your chair, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| Chair is wobbly or unstable | Loose screws or improper assembly. | Check and tighten all assembly screws, especially those connecting the seat, backrest, and armrests. Ensure the gas lift is fully seated in the base. |
| Casters do not roll smoothly | Debris (hair, lint) caught in casters. | Turn the chair over and carefully remove any debris from the caster wheels. |
