1. Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective operation of your Dickie Toys DT-QL Livecam RC Quadrocopter. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference. The DT-QL Livecam Quadrocopter features a remote control, WiFi connectivity for live camera transmission to a smartphone, and various flight functions.

2. What's in the Box
Verify that all components are present in the packaging:
- Dickie Toys DT-QL Livecam RC Quadrocopter
- Remote Control (4 channel, 2.4 GHz)
- Li-Po Battery (for quadrocopter)
- USB Charging Cable
- Instruction Manual (this document)
3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
Quadrocopter Battery:
- Locate the battery compartment on the quadrocopter.
- Insert the provided Li-Po battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Securely close the battery compartment.
Remote Control Batteries:
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Insert 4 x 1.5 volt R03 (AAA) batteries (not included), observing the correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment securely.

3.2. Charging the Quadrocopter Battery
Connect the Li-Po battery to the USB charging cable. Plug the USB cable into a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter). The charging time is approximately 80 minutes. Do not overcharge the battery.
3.3. Smartphone Connection (WiFi)
- Download and install the dedicated "DT-QL Livecam" application on your smartphone (available for iOS and Android).
- Power on the quadrocopter.
- On your smartphone, go to WiFi settings and connect to the network named "DT-QL Livecam" (or similar, as indicated in the app).
- Open the "DT-QL Livecam" app. You should see a live video feed from the quadrocopter's camera.
- Mount your smartphone securely onto the remote control's holder.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Pairing the Remote Control
After installing batteries and charging, power on both the quadrocopter and the remote control. Move the left joystick (throttle) up and then down to pair the devices. A successful pairing will be indicated by a solid light on the quadrocopter.
4.2. Basic Flight Controls
- Take-off/Landing: Use the dedicated take-off/landing button or slowly push the left joystick (throttle) upwards to ascend. Pull it downwards to descend and land.
- Forward/Backward: Push the right joystick forward or backward.
- Left/Right (Sideways): Push the right joystick left or right.
- Rotate Left/Right: Push the left joystick left or right.

4.3. Advanced Flight Functions
- Flip Function: Press the designated flip button and then move the right joystick in the desired direction to perform a 360-degree flip.
- Headless Mode: Activate headless mode to simplify flight orientation. In this mode, the quadrocopter's front direction is relative to the pilot, regardless of its actual orientation.
- Fine-Tuning: Use the trim buttons on the remote control to adjust for any drift and ensure stable hovering.
- Speed Settings: Adjust flight speed using the speed control button (e.g., 40%, 70%, 100%).

4.4. Camera Operation
With the smartphone app connected, you can:
- View Live Feed: See real-time video from the quadrocopter's camera on your smartphone screen.
- Take Photos: Tap the photo icon in the app to capture still images.
- Record Videos: Tap the video icon to start and stop video recording.
- Captured media will be saved directly to your smartphone's gallery.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the quadrocopter and remote control. Avoid using water or solvents.
- Battery Care:
- Always disconnect the battery from the quadrocopter after use.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
- Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures.
- If the quadrocopter will not be used for an extended period, remove batteries from both the quadrocopter and the remote control.
- Propeller Inspection: Regularly check propellers for damage. Replace any bent or broken propellers to ensure stable flight.
6. Troubleshooting
