1. Introduction

4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Physical Connection

  1. Connect the DSL Line: Connect one end of the RJ11 DSL cable to the DSL port on the modem router and the other end to your telephone wall jack or splitter.
  2. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the modem router's power jack and then into a standard electrical outlet. Press the Power On/Off button if the device does not power on automatically.
  3. Connect Devices (Optional):
    • Wired Connection: Connect your computer or other network devices to the modem router's LAN ports using an RJ45 Ethernet cable.
    • Wireless Connection: Locate the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password printed on the label at the bottom of the modem router. Connect your wireless devices to this network.

  1. Access the Web Interface: Open a web browser on a device connected to the modem router (wired or wirelessly). Type tplinkmodem.net or 192.168.1.1 into the address bar and press Enter.
  2. Login: A login window will appear. Enter the default username and password (both typically admin, unless changed).
  3. Run Quick Setup: Follow the on-screen instructions of the Quick Setup Wizard to configure your internet connection (VDSL/ADSL settings) and Wi-Fi network settings. This typically involves selecting your region, ISP, and setting up your Wi-Fi SSID and password.

The TP-Link Tether app provides an easy way to set up and manage your modem router from your mobile device.

  1. Download the App: Download the TP-Link Tether app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi: Connect your mobile device to the modem router's default Wi-Fi network.
  3. Launch and Login: Open the Tether app, create a TP-Link ID or log in with an existing one, and follow the app's instructions to add and configure your Archer VR600.
