3. Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the heat press from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
- Placement: Place the heat press on a sturdy, level, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate clearance around the machine for the swing-away function.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to a standard 110V grounded electrical outlet.
- Initial Inspection: Verify that the silicone-gel base board is securely in place. A Teflon sheet is included for protection during transfers.
4. Operating Instructions

4.3 Adjusting Pressure
The pressure knob located on top of the heating platen allows you to adjust the downward pressure. Turn the knob clockwise for more pressure and counter-clockwise for less pressure. Adjust as needed for your specific material and transfer type.
4.4 Using the Swing-Away Feature
This heat press features a swing-away design. Once the heating platen reaches the desired temperature, you can swing the upper platen away from the lower platen to safely place your garment and transfer material without direct contact with the hot surface. After positioning, swing the upper platen back over the lower platen before pressing.
4.5 Heat Transfer Process
- Pre-Press: Place your garment on the silicone pad. Swing the upper platen over and press for 5-10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles. Swing the platen away.
- Position Transfer: Carefully place your transfer material (e.g., HTV, sublimation print) onto the garment. Cover with the included Teflon sheet.
- Press: Swing the upper platen back over the garment and press down the handle firmly until it locks. The timer will automatically start counting down.
- Release: Once the timer reaches zero, an alarm will sound. Release the handle and swing the upper platen away.
- Peel: Follow the instructions for your specific transfer material regarding hot or cold peel.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Ensure the machine is unplugged and cooled down before cleaning. Wipe the heating platen with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Silicone Pad: The silicone pad is designed for durability but can be replaced if it becomes damaged or worn. It is lightly glued for easy replacement.
- Lubrication: Periodically check the moving parts, especially the swing arm mechanism, for smooth operation. Lubricate with a high-temperature grease if necessary.
- Storage: Store the heat press in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use.
6. Troubleshooting
- Uneven Heat: Ensure the machine has fully preheated. Check that the heating platen is clean and free of debris.
- Pressure Issues: Adjust the pressure knob to achieve the desired pressure. If the handle does not lock or requires excessive force, check for obstructions or adjust the pressure.
- Display Not Working: Verify the power cord is securely plugged in and the power switch is on. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
- Transfer Not Adhering: Double-check the temperature, time, and pressure settings recommended for your specific transfer material. Ensure the garment is pre-pressed to remove moisture.
