4. Setup
4.1 Unfolding the Handle
The mower's handle folds for compact storage. To unfold, release the locking mechanisms on the side of the handle and raise the handle until it locks securely into the operating position.

4.2 Battery Installation
Open the battery compartment cover located on top of the mower. Insert a fully charged EGO 56V ARC Lithium™ battery into the compartment until it clicks into place. Close the cover securely.

4.3 Mowing Options (Mulching, Bagging, Side Discharge)
Your mower offers three grass disposal options: mulching, bagging, and side discharge. The mulching plug is typically pre-installed. To switch options:
- Mulching: Ensure the mulching plug is securely inserted into the rear discharge opening.
- Bagging: Remove the mulching plug and attach the grass collection bag to the rear discharge opening.
- Side Discharge: Remove the mulching plug and attach the side discharge chute to the side discharge opening.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting the Mower
To start the mower, press and hold the safety button on the handle, then pull the bail lever towards the handle. The blades will begin to rotate.
5.2 Self-Propel Function
The mower features variable speed self-propel, adjustable from 0.9 to 3.1 MPH. Use the speed control dial on the handle to select your desired walking pace. Engage the self-propel by pulling the self-propel levers on the handlebars.
5.3 Cutting Height Adjustment
Adjust the cutting height using the single-point lever located on the side of the mower deck. The mower offers 6 cutting height positions, ranging from 1.5 to 4 inches.

5.4 LED Headlights
The mower is equipped with bright LED headlights for increased visibility during low-light conditions. Press the light button on the handle to turn them on or off.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your mower. Always disconnect the battery before performing any maintenance.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the cutting deck and exterior of the mower to remove grass clippings and debris.
- Blade Care: Inspect the blade regularly for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace the blade as needed.
- Storage: The mower features an adjustable handle height and folds for compact storage. Store the mower in a dry, secure location.
