4. Setup and Assembly Instructions
Assembly requires two adults. Please follow these steps carefully.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage. Identify each component using the parts list.
- Attach Side Rails to Headboard: Align the side rails with the pre-drilled holes on the headboard. Secure them using the provided bolts, washers, and nuts. Do not fully tighten at this stage.
- Attach Side Rails to Footboard: Repeat the previous step to attach the other end of the side rails to the footboard. Ensure the footboard's low profile and beveled raised panels are facing the correct direction.
- Tighten All Connections: Once all four corners are connected, carefully tighten all bolts using the provided Allen wrench. Ensure the bed frame is stable and square.
- Install Slats and Supporting Legs: Place the five slats evenly across the width of the bed frame, resting them on the side rail ledges. Attach the five supporting legs to the center of each slat, ensuring they are firmly in place and make contact with the floor for central support.
- Final Check: Verify that all connections are secure and the bed frame is stable before placing a mattress or box spring on it.

5. Usage Instructions
- Box Spring Requirement: This bed is designed to be used with a box spring. Place your queen-sized box spring directly onto the installed slats.
- Mattress Placement: After placing the box spring, position your queen-sized mattress on top of the box spring.
- Weight Distribution: Ensure weight is distributed evenly across the bed. Avoid standing or jumping on the bed to prevent damage to the frame or slats.
6. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning the Frame: Wipe the espresso finish frame with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish.
- Cleaning the Headboard: The PU padded headboard should be cleaned using a dry cloth only. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use water or liquid cleaners, as per "Dry Clean Only" instruction for the furniture finish.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten as needed to maintain stability.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading or damage to the finish and upholstery.
7. Troubleshooting
- Bed feels wobbly: Ensure all bolts connecting the headboard, footboard, and side rails are fully tightened. Check that the supporting legs for the slats are making firm contact with the floor.
- Squeaking noises: Squeaking can often be resolved by re-tightening all hardware. If the issue persists, check for any friction points between the box spring/mattress and the frame.
- Missing parts: If any parts are missing upon unboxing, do not proceed with assembly. Contact Acme customer support immediately for replacement parts.
