Maintenance

Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote's response becomes sluggish or the display fades. Always replace both batteries simultaneously with new AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

Storage

If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent potential damage from battery leakage and corrosion. Store the remote in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Cleaning

Wipe the remote control with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive pads, or chemical solvents, as these can damage the surface or internal components.

Troubleshooting

  • Remote not responding:
    • Ensure batteries are correctly installed with proper polarity.
    • Replace old batteries with new ones.
    • Check battery terminals for corrosion and clean if necessary.
  • Limited range or intermittent operation:
    • Move closer to the AC unit. The maximum effective range is approximately 8 meters (26 feet).
    • Remove any physical obstructions (furniture, walls, etc.) between the remote and the AC unit's IR sensor.
    • Avoid exposing the remote's sensor or the AC unit's IR receiver to direct sunlight or strong artificial lighting, as this can interfere with the signal.
  • AC unit not turning on:
    • Verify that the AC unit is plugged into a power outlet and is receiving power.
    • Ensure the AC unit's main power switch (if applicable) is in the ON position.
