- Prepare the Garage Door: Ensure your garage door operates smoothly manually and is properly balanced. Lubricate any moving parts if necessary.
- Mount the Rail System: Attach the rail sections together. Securely mount the rail system to the ceiling of your garage, centered above the garage door opening. The rail should extend towards the back of the garage.

- Connect to Garage Door: Attach the trolley on the rail to the garage door itself using the provided door arm and mounting bracket. Ensure the connection is secure and allows for smooth operation.
- Electrical Connection: Plug the garage door opener into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the power supply is stable.
- Limit Switch Adjustment: Follow the instructions in the separate quick start guide (if provided) or the full manual for setting the open and close limits of the garage door. This is crucial for proper operation and safety.
- Test Operation: After installation and limit setting, test the opener multiple times using the remote control. Ensure the door opens and closes fully and smoothly.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your garage door opener.
- Monthly: Inspect the garage door and opener for any signs of wear, loose parts, or damage. Check the balance of the door.
- Annually: Lubricate moving parts of the garage door (hinges, rollers, springs) according to the garage door manufacturer's recommendations. Do not lubricate the opener's rail or chain unless specifically instructed by Schellenberg.
- Cleaning: Keep the opener unit clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth.
- Safety Reversal Test: Periodically test the safety reversal system. Place a 2x4 piece of wood flat on the floor in the path of the door. The door should reverse upon contact with the wood. If it does not, adjust or repair the system immediately.
