5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps to operate your WMF Kitchenminis Blender:
- Prepare Ingredients: Cut ingredients into small pieces (approx. 2-3 cm) to facilitate blending. For best results, add liquids first, then soft ingredients, and finally harder ingredients or ice. Do not exceed the maximum fill line (800ml) indicated on the jug.
- Secure Lid: Place the lid firmly onto the glass jug. Ensure the measuring cup insert is in place.
- Select Speed: Turn the control knob to select one of the 5 available speed settings. Start with a lower speed and gradually increase if needed.
- Pulse Function: For short bursts of power or to break down tougher ingredients, turn the knob to the 'Pulse' setting and hold. Release to stop.
- Blending: Allow the blender to run until desired consistency is achieved. For optimal performance and to prevent overheating, do not operate continuously for more than 60 seconds. Allow the appliance to cool down for a few minutes between cycles if blending for extended periods.
- Finish: Once blending is complete, turn the control knob to the 'Off' position. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet before removing the jug.
Recommended Use: This blender is particularly effective for pureeing fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients to create smooth textures.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your blender.
- Unplug: Always unplug the blender from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Disassemble: Carefully remove the glass jug from the motor base. Separate the blade assembly from the jug and remove the lid.
- Wash Components: Wash the glass jug, blade assembly, and lid in warm, soapy water. The glass jug and lid are generally dishwasher-safe, but hand-washing is recommended for the blade assembly to preserve its sharpness. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.
- Clean Motor Base: Wipe the motor base with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the stainless steel finish.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the blender. Store in a cool, dry place.
