Maintenance
Water and Dust Resistance
The Altec Lansing Omni Jacket is IP67 rated, meaning it is waterproof, shockproof, and snowproof. It is designed to withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes and is protected against dust ingress. The speaker also floats, making it suitable for use near water. Ensure all port covers are securely closed before exposing the speaker to water or dust.
Cleaning
To clean your speaker, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the speaker's finish or protective coatings. If the speaker has been exposed to saltwater, rinse it with fresh water and dry thoroughly before charging.
Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the speaker is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the Micro USB cable.
- No Sound: Check that the speaker is powered on and properly paired with your device. Increase the volume on both the speaker and your connected device. Ensure the audio source is playing.
- Bluetooth Pairing Issues: Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (flashing LED). Turn off and on Bluetooth on your device, then try pairing again. Ensure your device is within the 100-foot range. If previously paired, try forgetting the device on your phone and re-pairing.
- Charging Port Issues: If the speaker is not charging, ensure the Micro USB cable is securely connected to both the speaker and the power source. Try a different USB cable or power adapter.
- True Wireless Stereo Pairing Failure: Ensure both speakers are not connected to any other Bluetooth device before attempting TWS pairing. Follow the TWS pairing steps carefully.
