- Place Ailments: Carefully place each of the 12 plastic ailment pieces into their corresponding slots on Cavity Sam's body. Ensure they are seated properly.
- Prepare Doctor Cards: Shuffle the 12 Doctor Cards and place them face down in a draw pile near the gameboard.
- Prepare Money: Separate the play money into denominations and place it in a bank area accessible to all players.
- Connect Tweezers: Ensure the tweezers are securely connected to the gameboard via their wire.

How to Play (Operating)
The objective is to successfully remove ailment pieces without touching the metal edges of the slots, which will trigger the buzzer and light up Cavity Sam's nose.
- Player Order: The youngest player goes first, and play proceeds clockwise.
- Draw a Doctor Card: On your turn, draw the top Doctor Card from the pile. This card will indicate which ailment you need to remove and the amount of money you will earn if successful.
- Perform "Surgery": Using the tweezers, carefully attempt to remove the specified ailment piece from Cavity Sam's body.
- Avoid the Buzzer: If the tweezers touch the metal edges of the slot, Cavity Sam's red nose will light up and the buzzer will sound. If this happens, your turn ends, and you do not earn money for that ailment. The ailment piece is then returned to its slot.
- Successful Removal: If you successfully remove the ailment piece without triggering the buzzer, you earn the amount of money indicated on the Doctor Card. Keep the card and the money.
- End of Turn: After your turn, whether successful or not, the next player draws a card and takes their turn.
- Winning the Game: The game continues until all 12 ailment pieces have been successfully removed. The player with the most money at the end of the game wins.

Maintenance
Proper care will ensure the longevity of your Operation game:
- Cleaning: Wipe the gameboard and plastic pieces with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the electronic components in water.
- Storage: Store all ailment pieces in the provided plastic storage bag. Keep the game in its original box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
