1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the Satechi Slim Aluminum Bluetooth Keypad, Model ST-SALKPM. This 18-key wireless numeric keypad is designed to enhance data entry efficiency for various devices, including MacBook Air/Pro, iPad Air/Pro, iMac, and Windows PCs. It features a slim, ergonomic design and rechargeable battery for portable use.

3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Keypad

Before first use, fully charge the keypad. Connect the supplied Micro USB cable to the charging port on the side of the keypad and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).

The LED indicator will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged. A full charge typically provides up to 2 weeks of use.

3.2 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the keypad is charged.
2. Turn on the keypad using the power switch located next to the Micro USB port. The blue LED indicator will flash.
3. On your device (Mac, iPad, or PC), navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
4. Search for available devices. The keypad will appear as "Satechi Keypad" or similar.
5. Select the keypad to initiate pairing. Follow any on-screen prompts, such as entering a code.
6. Once paired, the blue LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid for a few seconds before turning off, indicating a successful connection.

For Windows 11/10 devices, you may need to add the device via the Control Panel settings.

4. Operating the Keypad

4.1 Basic Functions

The keypad provides 18 keys for numeric input and common arithmetic operations. Simply press the desired key to input numbers or perform calculations in compatible applications.

• Number Keys (0-9): For numeric input.
• Arithmetic Operators (+, -, *, /): For basic calculations.
• Clear Key: Clears the current input or calculation.
• Enter Key: Confirms input or executes commands.
• Decimal Point (.): For decimal numbers.
• Backspace Key (⌫): Deletes the last character.

4.2 Sleep Mode

To conserve battery life, the keypad automatically enters sleep mode after 1 hour of inactivity. To wake it up, press any key. There may be a slight delay as it re-establishes the Bluetooth connection.
