3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation and Charging
The UV-5X3 uses a BL-5 USB-C 1500mAh battery. Ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
- Align the battery with the grooves on the back of the radio.
- Slide the battery upwards until it clicks securely into place.
- To charge, connect a USB-C cable directly to the battery port on the radio, or use the provided CH-5 desktop charger and 110V adapter.
- The charging indicator light will be red while charging and turn green when fully charged.

3.2 Antenna Installation

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off and Volume
- To power on, rotate the volume knob clockwise.
- To power off, rotate the volume knob counter-clockwise until it clicks.
- Adjust volume by rotating the same knob.
