1. Safety Instructions

3. Setup and Connection

Follow these steps to safely connect the battery charger to your vehicle battery:

1. Ensure the vehicle ignition is switched off and all electrical consumers are turned off.
2. Locate the vehicle battery. Ensure the battery terminals are clean and free of corrosion.
3. Connect the red (+) charging clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
4. Connect the black (-) charging clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. If the battery is installed in the vehicle, connect the black clamp to the vehicle chassis away from the battery and fuel line.

5. Once the clamps are securely connected, plug the charger's mains cable into a suitable 120V AC power outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

The Einhell CC-BC 10 E features electronic charging and automatic charging functionality, simplifying the charging process.

Charging Process:

• After connecting the charger to the battery and mains power, the charging process begins automatically.
• The integrated ammeter (Figure 4) will indicate the charging current. The needle will gradually drop as the battery charges.

Disconnection:

1. Once charging is complete (ammeter shows minimal current or battery voltage is stable), first disconnect the charger from the mains power outlet.
2. Then, disconnect the black (-) charging clamp from the battery's negative terminal or vehicle chassis.
3. Finally, disconnect the red (+) charging clamp from the battery's positive terminal.

5. Protection Features

The Einhell CC-BC 10 E is equipped with multiple safety features to protect both the charger and the battery:

• Overload Protection: Prevents damage from excessive current.
• Reverse Polarity Protection: Protects against incorrect connection of the clamps to the battery terminals.
