8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Charger not turning on (Power LED off) | No power from outlet; damaged power cord; incorrect voltage selection. | Check AC outlet with another device. Inspect power cord for damage. Ensure 6V/12V switch matches battery voltage. |
| Battery not charging (Charging LED off or not progressing) | Poor connection to battery; deeply discharged battery; faulty battery; incorrect voltage selection. | Ensure clamps are securely connected to clean battery terminals. Allow more time for deeply discharged batteries. Test battery condition. Verify voltage selection. |
| Charger or battery overheating | Poor ventilation; faulty battery; internal charger issue. | Immediately disconnect the charger. Ensure adequate ventilation around the battery and charger. If overheating persists, discontinue use and contact support. |
| Sparking when connecting clamps | Normal when connecting the last clamp; short circuit. | A small spark is normal when connecting the last clamp. If excessive sparking occurs, check for short circuits or incorrect polarity. Always connect positive first, then negative. |
