Setup Guide
1. Unpacking and Placement
Carefully remove the printer from its packaging. Remove all protective tapes and packing materials from the exterior and interior of the printer. Ensure all orange tapes and plastic inserts are removed from the ink cartridge area and paper trays. Place the printer on a stable, flat surface with adequate space for paper trays and ventilation.

2. Power Connection
Connect the power cord to the printer's power input and then to a wall outlet. Do not connect the USB cable or network cable at this stage unless instructed by the on-screen setup.
3. Ink Cartridge Installation
Open the front cover of the printer to access the ink cartridge compartment. The printer will guide you through the installation process on its display. Insert the provided starter ink cartridges into their corresponding slots, ensuring they click firmly into place. Close the front cover once all cartridges are installed.
4. Paper Loading
The MAXIFY MB2720 features two paper cassettes. Pull out the desired paper cassette (Cassette 1 or Cassette 2) and load plain paper or other media. Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size snugly. The printer supports various paper sizes including Letter, Legal, 4x6, 5x7, and 8x10 inches. Push the cassette back into the printer until it locks into place.

5. Initial Setup and Network Connection
Turn on the printer using the power button. Follow the on-screen instructions on the printer's touchscreen display to select your language, set the date and time, and perform initial alignment. Printing

Follow the prompts on the display to complete the scan. The Canon PRINT app also allows you to scan directly to your smartphone or tablet.
Faxing
Connect the telephone line cable to the printer and your wall jack. Place the document to be faxed on the scanner glass or in the ADF. On the touchscreen, select "FAX." Enter the recipient's fax number and press "Start." The printer supports fax memory for storing incoming faxes.
Control Panel Navigation

Maintenance
Ink Cartridge Replacement

Cleaning
Regularly clean the exterior of the printer with a soft, damp cloth. For the scanner glass, use a lint-free cloth and a non-abrasive glass cleaner. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the glass.
