3. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps for proper installation and initial setup of your microwave oven.
3.1 Placement
- Place the microwave on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Maintain a minimum of 3 inches (7.5 cm) of space on the top, sides, and rear for proper airflow.
- Do not block air vents.

3.2 Power Connection
- Plug the microwave into a grounded 110-volt AC outlet.
- Ensure the electrical circuit can support 1000 watts of power.
3.3 Turntable Installation
- Place the roller ring in the center of the oven cavity.
- Place the glass tray on top of the roller ring, ensuring it sits securely.
4. Operating Instructions
Your Farberware microwave features an intuitive control panel for easy operation.

4.1 Setting the Clock
- Press the Clock button.
- Use the number pad to enter the current time.
- Press Clock again to confirm.
4.2 Basic Cooking (Time Cook)
- Place food in the microwave.
- Press the Time Cook button.
- Enter the desired cooking time using the number pad.
- Press Start/+30SEC to begin cooking.
4.3 Defrosting
The microwave offers two defrost options:
- Time Defrost: Press Time Defrost, enter the desired defrost time, then press Start/+30SEC.
- Weight Defrost: Press Weight Defrost, enter the food's weight, then press Start/+30SEC.
4.4 One-Touch Cooking
For common food items, use the convenient one-touch buttons:
- Press Popcorn, Potato, Pizza, Frozen Vegetable, Beverage, or Dinner Plate for pre-programmed cooking times.
- Press Start/+30SEC to begin.
4.5 Child Safety Lock
To activate the child safety lock, press and hold the Stop/Cancel button for 3 seconds. The display will show a lock indicator. To deactivate, repeat the process.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and appearance of your microwave oven.

- Interior: Wipe the interior with a damp cloth after each use. For stubborn stains, use a mild detergent or a microwave-safe cleaner.
- Exterior: Clean the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the finish.
- Turntable: The glass turntable and roller ring can be washed in warm, soapy water or in the dishwasher.
- Door Seals: Keep the door seals clean to ensure proper closure and prevent microwave leakage.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your microwave, refer to the common problems and solutions below.
