Observe all safety precautions to prevent injury and damage. This appliance is designed for commercial use and should be operated by trained personnel.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power supply matches the unit's requirements (115V/60Hz/1-phase, 9.4 Amps). Use a dedicated circuit with a NEMA 5-15P plug. Do not use extension cords.
  • Ventilation: Maintain adequate clearance around the unit for proper airflow to the condenser.
  • Weight: The unit is heavy (536 lbs). Use appropriate lifting equipment and personnel during installation and relocation.
  • Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning or performing maintenance.
  • Flammable Materials: Do not store flammable or explosive materials inside the refrigerator.

3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the refrigerator for any shipping damage. Report any damage to the carrier immediately.

3.2 Placement

Position the refrigerator on a strong, level surface capable of supporting its weight (536 lbs) when fully loaded. Ensure adequate clearance (at least 6 inches) around the back and sides for proper ventilation and condenser operation.

3.3 Caster Installation

The unit comes with (4) 6-inch casters. If not pre-installed, attach them securely to the bottom of the unit. Ensure all casters are locked once the unit is in its final position to prevent movement.

3.4 Electrical Connection

Connect the refrigerator to a dedicated 115V/60Hz/1-phase electrical outlet. The unit requires 9.4 Amps and is equipped with a 7-foot cord and a NEMA 5-15P plug. Do not use adapters or extension cords.

3.5 Shelf Installation

The refrigerator includes (6) removable plastic-coated wire shelves. Install the shelf clips at the desired height and place the shelves securely on the clips. Ensure shelves are level before loading products.

3.6 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean the interior and exterior of the refrigerator with a mild soap and water solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On

After connecting to power, the unit will begin to cool. Allow the refrigerator to reach its set temperature before loading products.

4.2 Temperature Control

The refrigerator features a front digital temperature controller with an LED display. Use the controls to set and monitor the desired internal temperature. Refer to the specific controller's instructions for detailed programming.

4.3 Loading the Refrigerator

Distribute products evenly on the shelves. Do not block the internal air vents, as this can impede airflow and cooling efficiency. Avoid overloading shelves.

4.4 Self-Closing Doors

The unit is equipped with self-closing doors. Ensure doors close completely after each use to maintain temperature and energy efficiency. The doors also feature recessed handles for easy opening.

4.5 Automatic Defrosting

The refrigerator includes an automatic defrosting system. This system periodically melts frost buildup on the evaporator coil, eliminating the need for manual defrosting under normal operating conditions.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your refrigerator.

5.1 Cleaning the Interior and Exterior

  • Interior: Clean regularly with a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Exterior: Wipe down the 430 stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a stainless steel cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads or cleaners that can scratch the surface.
  • Door Gaskets: The door gaskets are removable for easy cleaning. Clean them with warm, soapy water and ensure they are free of debris to maintain a proper seal.

5.2 Condenser Coil Cleaning

The bottom-mounted refrigeration unit slides out for easy maintenance. The condenser coil should be cleaned regularly (monthly or quarterly, depending on environment) to ensure efficient operation. Use a brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris from the fins. Always disconnect power before cleaning the condenser coil.

5.3 Shelf Maintenance

The plastic-coated wire shelves can be removed for cleaning. Inspect them periodically for damage and replace if necessary.
