1. Introduction
Welcome to the user manual for your Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman Swiss Automatic Watch. This guide provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your timepiece. Please read these instructions carefully to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your watch.

2. Components Overview
Familiarize yourself with the main components of your Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman watch:
- Case: The main body of the watch, made of stainless steel.
- Bezel: The uni-directional rotating ring around the crystal, used for timing.
- Crown: The knob on the side of the case used for winding, setting time, and date. Features a protective lock mechanism.
- Dial: The watch face, displaying hours, minutes, seconds, and date.
- Hands & Markers: Luminous elements for visibility in low light conditions.
- Bracelet: The silver stainless steel band for wearing the watch.
- Sapphire Crystal: The scratch-resistant transparent cover over the dial.

3. Setup
3.1 Initial Winding
Your Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman is equipped with a Swiss automatic movement. Before setting the time, it is recommended to manually wind the watch if it has stopped or has not been worn for an extended period.
- Unscrew the crown protector (labeled 'LOCK') by rotating it counter-clockwise.
- Unscrew the crown by rotating it counter-clockwise until it springs out to position 0.
- Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 20-30 times to manually wind the mainspring.
- Push the crown back in and screw it down securely, then screw the crown protector back into place to ensure water resistance.
3.2 Setting the Time
To set the correct time:
- Unscrew the crown protector and then the crown.
- Gently pull the crown out to the time-setting position (position 2, usually the furthest out). The second hand will stop.
- Rotate the crown to set the correct time. Ensure you differentiate between AM and PM when setting the time, as this affects the date change.
- Once the time is set, push the crown back into position 0 and screw it down securely. Screw the crown protector back into place.
3.3 Setting the Date
To set the correct date:
- Unscrew the crown protector and then the crown.
- Gently pull the crown out to the date-setting position (position 1, the first click). The second hand will continue to run.
- Rotate the crown to set the correct date. Important: Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement's date mechanism. If the current time falls within this period, first set the time outside this range (e.g., to 6 AM), then set the date, and finally set the correct time.
- Once the date is set, push the crown back into position 0 and screw it down securely. Screw the crown protector back into place.
4. Operating Your Watch
4.1 Uni-directional Rotating Bezel
The Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman features a uni-directional rotating bezel, primarily used for timing dive durations or other elapsed time measurements. It rotates only counter-clockwise to prevent accidental increases in timed duration.
- To begin timing, rotate the bezel counter-clockwise until the zero marker (triangle) aligns with the minute hand.
- As time passes, the minute hand will indicate the elapsed time on the bezel's scale.

4.2 Water Resistance
This watch has a water resistance rating of 30 bar (300 meters / 1000 feet). This makes it suitable for professional marine activity and serious surface water sports, but not for saturation diving.
- Crucial: Always ensure the crown is securely screwed down and the crown protector is in place before any contact with water to maintain the stated water resistance.
- Do not operate the crown or crown protector while the watch is submerged in water.
- After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch thoroughly with fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth.

5. Maintenance and Care
5.1 Cleaning
To clean your watch, use a soft, damp cloth. For the stainless steel bracelet, a soft brush with mild soap and water can be used, ensuring the watch is water-resistant and the crown is secured. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
5.2 Service Intervals
For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to have your automatic watch serviced by an authorized Hamilton service center every 3-5 years. Regular servicing helps maintain the movement's accuracy and the watch's water resistance.
5.3 Storage
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields. A watch winder can be used to keep the automatic movement running if you wear the watch infrequently.
6. Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to some common issues you might encounter:
Watch not running: If the watch has stopped, it may not be sufficiently wound. Manually wind the watch as described in the "Initial Winding" section (Section 3.1). If the issue persists after winding, contact an authorized service center.
Date not changing correctly: Ensure you are not setting the date during the
