1. Introduction

The Boytone BT-25MB is a versatile 8-in-1 classic stereo system designed to provide multiple audio playback options. This system integrates a turntable, CD player, cassette player, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, and SD card slot, all within a natural wood cabinet. It features built-in stereo speakers and can be operated via its front panel controls or the included remote control.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Power Source: Ensure the unit is connected to an AC 120V~60Hz power outlet.
  • Ventilation: Do not block ventilation openings. Allow adequate space around the unit for proper airflow.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, or dripping/splashing liquids. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the unit.
  • Heat: Keep the unit away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Cleaning: Clean only with a dry cloth.

5. Setup

5.1 Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the unit from its packaging.
  2. Remove all protective materials and plastic bags.
  3. Place the unit on a stable, level surface.

5.2 Power Connection

  1. Ensure the unit's power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect the AC power cable to the AC IN port on the rear of the unit.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cable into a standard AC 120V~60Hz wall outlet.

5.3 Antenna Connection (for AM/FM Radio)

The unit has a built-in FM wire antenna and an AM loop antenna. For improved reception, extend the FM wire antenna fully and adjust its position. The AM antenna is internal and generally does not require adjustment.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 General Controls

  • Power Button: Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
  • Mode Button: Press repeatedly to cycle through available functions: PHONO (Turntable), CD, TAPE (Cassette), FM, AM, BT (Bluetooth), USB, SD.
  • Volume Knob: Rotate to adjust the audio output level.

6.2 Turntable Operation

  1. Lift the turntable lid.
  2. Place a vinyl record on the platter.
  3. Select the PHONO mode using the Mode button.
  4. Remove the stylus protector from the tone arm.
  5. Gently lift the tone arm and position the stylus over the desired track on the record.
  6. Lower the tone arm slowly onto the record. Playback will begin automatically.
  7. To stop playback, lift the tone arm and return it to its rest.

6.3 CD Player Operation

  1. Select the CD mode using the Mode button.
  2. Press the EJECT button to open the CD tray.
  3. Place a CD with the label side facing up into the tray.
  4. Press the EJECT button again to close the tray. The CD will load, and playback should start automatically.
  5. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, SKIP FORWARD, and SKIP BACKWARD buttons to control playback.

6.4 Cassette Player Operation

  1. Insert a cassette tape into the cassette slot on the side of the unit.
  2. Select the TAPE mode using the Mode button.
  3. Playback will begin automatically.
  4. Use the control buttons (Play, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind) on the cassette player or remote to manage playback.

6.5 AM/FM Radio Operation

  1. Select FM or AM mode using the Mode button.
  2. Rotate the Tuning knob on the front panel to search for radio stations.
  3. The frequency will be displayed on the analog dial.

6.6 Bluetooth Operation

  1. Select BT mode using the Mode button. The digital display will show "BT" and a blinking indicator, indicating it is in pairing mode.
  2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Boytone BT-25MB" from the list of devices.
  4. Once paired, the indicator on the unit will stop blinking, and you can stream audio from your device.

6.7 USB/SD Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot.
  2. Select USB or SD mode using the Mode button.
  3. The unit will automatically detect and begin playing compatible audio files (e.g., MP3).
  4. Use the PLAY/PAUSE, SKIP FORWARD, and SKIP BACKWARD buttons to control playback.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • For the turntable platter and stylus, use specialized cleaning tools designed for audio equipment.

7.2 Stylus Care

  • Handle the stylus with extreme care. Avoid touching it with your fingers.
  • Clean the stylus periodically with a soft brush, brushing from back to front.
  • Replace the stylus when sound quality deteriorates or if it appears damaged.
