Setup
Battery Installation
The HCDZ Replacement Remote Control requires two (2) AA batteries for operation. Batteries are not included with the remote control.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
- Slide the battery compartment cover downwards or press the latch and lift to remove it.
- Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the markings inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
Once batteries are correctly installed, the HCDZ Replacement Remote Control is ready for immediate use with compatible Onkyo A/V receivers. No additional programming or setup is required.
- Power On/Off: Press the POWER button to turn your Onkyo receiver on or off.
- Volume Control: Use the VOLUME + and VOLUME - buttons to adjust the audio output level.
- Input Selection: Press the designated input buttons (e.g., CD, DVD, TUNER) to switch between different audio/video sources connected to your receiver.
- Mute: Press the MUTE button to temporarily silence the audio output. Press it again to restore sound.
