Setup and Installation

Installation of the MiLocks TKK-02SN is designed to be straightforward. A Philips screwdriver is the only tool required. Ensure your door meets the thickness requirements of 1 1/4" to 1 7/8".

1. Install the Strike Plate

Begin by installing the strike plate on your door frame using the provided screws. Ensure it is aligned correctly with the latch bore hole.

2. Adjust and Install the Latch

The latch has two settings for the backset (distance from the door edge to the center of the bore hole): 2 3/8 inches or 2 3/4 inches. Adjust the latch by pulling or pushing the drive slot as needed. Install the latch into the door edge, ensuring the curve of the latch strikes the lip of the strike plate correctly.

3. Install the Keypad and Back Module

Thread the connection wire from the keypad through the door above the latch. Insert the drive bar through the latch's drive slot. Position the mounting plate, ensuring the 'This Side Up' arrow is pointing upwards and the 'Wire' arrow points towards the door edge. Secure the mounting plate with screws, but do not overtighten initially to allow for adjustments.

Connect the two connection wires from the keypad and the back module. Carefully tuck the wires into the door. Align the back module with the mounting plate and secure it with the remaining screws. Ensure the thumb turn is in the horizontal (unlocked) position before final tightening.
