4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the dehumidifier from its packaging. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Placement: Place the dehumidifier on a firm, level surface in the desired room. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around the air inlet and outlet grilles for proper air circulation. Avoid placing it directly against walls or furniture.
  3. Power Connection: Ensure the water tank is correctly inserted. Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet (AC 220-240V, 50/60Hz).

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Turning On: Press the power button located on the top of the unit. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the dehumidifier is operating.
  2. Dehumidification Process: The thermoelectric module will begin to cool, and moisture from the air will condense on its surface, dripping into the water tank. The unit can remove up to 600 ml of water per day.
  3. Automatic Shut-off: The dehumidifier is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature. When the 2-liter water tank is full, the unit will automatically turn off, and the indicator light will change (or turn off, depending on model specifics, typically it changes color or flashes) to signal that the tank needs emptying.
  4. Emptying the Water Tank:
    • Carefully pull out the water tank from the front of the unit.
    • Empty the collected water into a sink or drain.
    • Slide the empty water tank back into the dehumidifier until it clicks securely into place.
    • The dehumidifier will resume operation automatically once the tank is reinserted correctly.
  5. Turning Off: Press the power button again to turn off the dehumidifier. The indicator light will extinguish.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain the efficiency and lifespan of your dehumidifier.

  1. Before Cleaning: Always unplug the dehumidifier from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the plastic.
  3. Cleaning the Water Tank:
    • Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
    • Rinse the tank with clean water. If there is any residue or odor, you can use a mild detergent and a soft brush, then rinse thoroughly.
    • Allow the tank to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
  4. Air Inlet/Outlet Grilles: Use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove any dust or debris from the air inlet and outlet grilles.
  5. Storage: If storing the dehumidifier for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and the unit is dry. Store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original packaging.
