The unit typically comes with filters pre-installed. If not, or for replacement:

  1. Ensure the unit is unplugged.

  4. Insert the HEPA filter into the second slot, ensuring a tight seal.
  5. Close and secure the filter access panel.

4.3 Placement

The filter indicator light will illuminate when the filters are becoming clogged and require cleaning or replacement. Refer to the Maintenance section for instructions.

5.4 Ducting (Optional)

An optional discharge manifold is available for connecting ducting to direct filtered air to a specific area. Attach the ducting securely to the manifold and the unit's exhaust port.

6. Maintenance

WARNING: Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.

6.1 Filter Cleaning and Replacement

Regular filter maintenance is crucial for optimal performance.

  1. Pre-filter: The primary filter is washable. When the filter indicator light illuminates, remove the pre-filter, clean it with a vacuum and/or dust brush, or wash it with water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinstallation. Replace if damaged.
  2. HEPA Filter: The HEPA filter is not washable and must be replaced when the filter indicator light remains on after cleaning/replacing the pre-filter, or when airflow significantly decreases. Dispose of used HEPA filters according to local regulations for hazardous waste, especially if used in contaminated environments.

6.2 General Cleaning

Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the intake and exhaust grilles free from obstructions.

6.3 Storage

When not in use, store the air scrubber in a clean, dry environment. It is recommended to replace filters before long-term storage to ensure readiness for future use.
