4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the air scrubber from its packaging.
- Inspect the unit for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your supplier immediately.
- Remove all packing materials.
4.2 Filter Installation
The unit typically comes with filters pre-installed. If not, or for replacement:
- Ensure the unit is unplugged.
- Open the filter access panel.
- Insert the pre-filter (washable) into the first slot.
- Insert the HEPA filter into the second slot, ensuring a tight seal.
- Close and secure the filter access panel.
4.3 Placement
Position the air scrubber in the desired area, ensuring adequate clearance around the intake and exhaust vents for optimal airflow. Lock the wheels to prevent unintended movement.
4.4 Power Connection
Connect the power cord to a grounded 120V AC outlet. Ensure the outlet meets the electrical requirements specified on the unit's label.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
Locate the power switch on the control panel. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to start the unit. Flip to 'OFF' to power down.
5.2 Speed Settings
The Husqvarna A2000 operates at two speeds:
- Low Speed: Approximately 600 CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) for quieter operation and less aggressive air movement.
- High Speed: Approximately 1200 CFM for maximum air purification and faster air exchange.
Select the desired speed using the speed selector switch on the control panel.
5.3 Filter Indicator Light
The filter indicator light will illuminate when the filters are becoming clogged and require cleaning or replacement. Refer to the Maintenance section for instructions.
5.4 Ducting (Optional)
An optional discharge manifold is available for connecting ducting to direct filtered air to a specific area. Attach the ducting securely to the manifold and the unit's exhaust port.
6. Maintenance
WARNING: Always unplug the unit before performing any maintenance.
6.1 Filter Cleaning and Replacement
Regular filter maintenance is crucial for optimal performance.
- Pre-filter: The primary filter is washable. When the filter indicator light illuminates, remove the pre-filter, clean it with a vacuum and/or dust brush, or wash it with water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinstallation. Replace if damaged.
- HEPA Filter: The HEPA filter is not washable and must be replaced when the filter indicator light remains on after cleaning/replacing the pre-filter, or when airflow significantly decreases. Dispose of used HEPA filters according to local regulations for hazardous waste, especially if used in contaminated environments.
6.2 General Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Keep the intake and exhaust grilles free from obstructions.
6.3 Storage
When not in use, store the air scrubber in a clean, dry environment. It is recommended to replace filters before long-term storage to ensure readiness for future use.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Unit does not power on | No power supply; Power cord damaged; Unit switch off | Check power outlet and connection; Inspect power cord; Ensure power switch is ON |
| Low airflow | Clogged filters; Obstruction at intake/exhaust | Clean or replace filters; Remove obstructions |
| Filter indicator light on | Filters are dirty or clogged | Clean pre-filter; Replace HEPA filter if necessary |
| Unusual noise | Loose components; Fan obstruction | Inspect unit for loose parts; Check fan for obstructions (unplug first) |
