3. Flash Modes

  • TTL (Through-The-Lens) Mode: The flash automatically measures the light through the camera's lens and adjusts its output for optimal exposure. This is ideal for quick shooting and changing light conditions.
  • Manual Mode (M): Allows you to manually set the flash power output (e.g., 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, etc.). This provides precise control for consistent lighting in controlled environments.
  • Multi (Stroboscopic) Mode: Fires a series of rapid flashes during a single exposure, useful for capturing multiple movements of a subject in one frame.

4. Advanced Features

  • R2 Radio System: The integrated 2.4GHz R2 Radio System enables wireless control of multiple Flashpoint R2 compatible strobes. It supports master and slave modes, allowing for complex off-camera lighting setups with reliable triggering and power adjustments.
  • High Speed Sync (HSS): Allows the flash to synchronize with shutter speeds faster than the camera's native flash sync speed, enabling the use of flash in bright ambient light or with wide apertures.
  • Zoom Function: The flash head can automatically or manually adjust its zoom position to match the focal length of your lens, ensuring efficient light coverage.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the flash unit. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care: Store the Li-ion battery in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity. Avoid fully discharging the battery for prolonged times.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the flash unit in its protective case in a dry, dust-free environment. Remove the battery if storing for a long duration.
