3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

1. Open the battery compartment cover located on the underside of the scale.
2. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2. Initial Placement

Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces, or near vibrating equipment.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On/Off

• Press the [⑂] button to turn the scale on.
• Press and hold the [⑂] button to turn the scale off.

4.2. Unit Conversion

Press the [M] button to cycle through the available weighing units: grams (g), carats (ct), ounces (oz), troy ounces (ozt), pennyweights (dwt), and grains (gn).

4.3. Tare Function

The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so you can measure only the contents.

1. Place an empty container on the scale platform.
2. Press the [T] button. The display will reset to zero.
3. Add the items you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show the net weight of the items.

4.4. Counting Function (PCS)

The PCS function enables you to count pieces of items (e.g., pins, beads, screws) by weight.

1. Place the scale on a leveled surface and power it on.
2. Prepare a sample quantity (25, 50, 75, or 100 pieces) of the item you want to count.
3. Put the sample items on the platform, then press and hold the [PCS] key until the display shows "25", "50", "75", or "100".
4. Press the [M] key to switch the unit until the displayed figure matches your sample quantity.
5. Press the [PCS] key again. The display will show "pcs" in the lower left-hand corner, indicating sampling is complete.
6. Now, put the items you want to count on the platform, and the display will show the total quantity of these items.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1. Cleaning

The stainless steel platform and ABS plastic frame are easy to clean. Wipe the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.

5.2. Storage

The compact design allows for easy storage. Use the included trays as protective covers when not in use to prevent dust and damage. Store in a dry, cool place.

5.3. General Handling

Handle the scale with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts, as this may damage internal components and affect accuracy. Keep away from extreme temperatures and humidity.

6. Troubleshooting

• "Lo": Low voltage. Please replace the batteries.
• "O-Ld": Overload. Please remove the item from the platform quickly to protect the scale.
• Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface. Recalibrate if necessary (refer to manufacturer's instructions for calibration procedure, typically involves a known weight).
• Display Not Working: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are not depleted.
