3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Inserting the SIM Card and MicroSD Card
- Carefully remove the back cover of the E8372 device.
- Locate the SIM card slot. Insert your standard 4G/LTE SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned correctly. Ensure it clicks into place.
- If desired, insert a MicroSD card into the designated slot for storage expansion.
- Replace the back cover securely.
3.2 Powering On the Device
The E8372 is a USB-powered device. To power it on:
- Plug the E8372 into a USB port on a computer, a USB wall adapter, or a car charger.
- The device will automatically power on and begin searching for a network.
3.3 Initial Wi-Fi Connection
- Once powered on, wait for the Wi-Fi indicator light to become stable, indicating the network is ready.
- On your Wi-Fi enabled device (laptop, smartphone, tablet), search for available Wi-Fi networks.
- Select the network name (SSID) corresponding to your E8372. The default SSID and Wi-Fi key (password) are usually printed on a label inside the device or on the packaging.
- Enter the Wi-Fi key to connect.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Accessing the Web Management Interface
You can manage your E8372 settings through a web interface:
- Ensure your device is connected to the E8372's Wi-Fi network.
- Open a web browser and enter the default IP address (e.g., http://192.168.8.1) or the web address provided in the quick start guide.
- Enter the default username and password (usually 'admin' for both, or as specified on the device label) to log in.
- From this interface, you can view network status, manage connected devices, change Wi-Fi settings, and configure other advanced options.
4.2 Data and SMS Services
The E8372 supports data and SMS services:
- Data Usage: Monitor your data consumption through the web management interface.
- SMS: Send and receive SMS messages directly from the web management interface. Navigate to the SMS section to compose or view messages.
4.3 External Antenna Interface
For improved signal reception, the E8372 features an external antenna interface (TS-5 type). If you experience weak signal strength, you can connect a compatible external antenna to enhance performance.

7. Troubleshooting
7.1 No Network Signal or Slow Speed
- Check SIM Card: Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated.

7.3 Device Automatically Switches Off

- Overheating: If the device feels excessively hot, disconnect it and allow it to cool down. Ensure it is placed in a well-ventilated area.
- Reset: If issues persist, perform a factory reset. Locate the reset button (often a small pinhole) and press it for a few seconds with a thin object. Note: This will revert all settings to factory defaults, including Wi-Fi name and password.
