4. Product Overview
Familiarize yourself with the different parts of your PRIXTON DV609 camera.
4.1 Camera Body (Without Waterproof Case)

5. Setup
5.1 Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the camera's internal lithium battery.
- Connect the camera to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port or USB wall adapter) using the provided USB cable.
- The charging indicator light will illuminate.
- Once fully charged, the indicator light will change or turn off. Charging typically takes 2-3 hours.
5.2 Inserting a MicroSD Card
A MicroSD card (not included) is required to store videos and photos. The camera supports cards up to 32GB.
- Open the MicroSD card slot cover on the side of the camera.
- Insert the MicroSD card with the gold contacts facing the back of the camera until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently push the card in until it clicks, then release, and it will spring out.

5.3 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power/Mode button for a few seconds until the screen illuminates.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button again for a few seconds until the screen turns off.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Mode Selection
Briefly press the Power/Mode button to cycle through the available modes:
- Video Recording Mode: Indicated by a video camera icon.
- Photo Mode: Indicated by a camera icon.
- Playback Mode: Indicated by a play icon, for reviewing captured media.
6.2 Video Recording
- Switch to Video Recording Mode.
- Press the Shutter/OK button to start recording. A red dot or recording timer will appear on the screen.
- Press the Shutter/OK button again to stop recording. The recording will be saved to the MicroSD card.
6.3 Taking Photos
- Switch to Photo Mode.
- Frame your shot using the display screen.
- Press the Shutter/OK button to take a photo. The photo will be saved to the MicroSD card.
6.4 Playback
- Switch to Playback Mode.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to navigate through your recorded videos and photos.
- Press the Shutter/OK button to play a video or view a photo in full screen.
6.5 Using the Waterproof Case
The waterproof case allows the camera to be submerged up to 30 meters. Always ensure the case is properly sealed before use in water.
- Open the latching mechanism on the waterproof case.
- Carefully place the camera inside the case, ensuring it fits snugly.
- Close the latching mechanism firmly until it clicks, ensuring a tight seal.
- Before first use in water, perform a leak test by placing the empty case in water for a few minutes to check for bubbles.
- While in the case, use the external buttons on the case to operate the camera.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the camera body with a soft, dry cloth.
- For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and specialized lens cleaning solution if necessary. Avoid abrasive materials.
- After using the waterproof case in saltwater, rinse it with fresh water and let it air dry.
7.2 Storage
- Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If storing for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
