  • Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.

  • Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  • Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.

Power Connection

Ensure the vacuum is turned off before plugging it into a power outlet. The Phenom 15 operates on standard electrical power.

  • Unwrap the power cord from the cord hooks.
  • Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

Starting the Vacuum

  1. Ensure the vacuum is plugged into a suitable power source.
  2. Press the power switch, typically located on the main body or handle, to turn the vacuum on.
  3. The dual motors will activate, and the brush roll will begin to spin.

Using the On-Board Tools

The Minuteman Phenom 15 includes a telescoping wand, a 4:1 expandable hose, and various on-board tools for versatile cleaning.

  • To use the hose and wand, detach them from their storage positions.
  • Connect the desired cleaning tool (e.g., crevice tool, upholstery tool) to the end of the wand.
  • The vacuum's suction will redirect to the hose for detailed cleaning.

Safety Features

The Phenom 15 is equipped with a safety feature that automatically shuts down the brush motor if a clog occurs. This prevents damage to the motor and belt.

  • If the brush motor stops, turn off the vacuum immediately and unplug it.
  • Inspect the brush roll and air pathways for obstructions and clear any clogs.
  • Once cleared, you can resume operation.

Maintenance

Dust Bag Replacement

Regularly check and replace the dust bag to maintain optimal suction and performance. The Phenom 15 is a bagless unit, but it uses a HEPA filter system that requires periodic cleaning or replacement.

Filter Maintenance (HEPA Filter)

The HEPA filter should be cleaned or replaced according to usage. Refer to the filter compartment for specific instructions on removal and reinstallation.

  • Turn off and unplug the vacuum before accessing the filter.
  • Locate the filter compartment, usually near the dust collection area.
  • Remove the HEPA filter. Tap it gently to remove loose debris, or rinse if washable (check filter instructions).
  • Allow filter to air dry completely before reinserting.

Brush Roll Cleaning and Replacement

The brush roll should be inspected regularly for tangled hair or debris. The Phenom 15 features a "No Tool Required Brush Change Out" for convenience.

  • Turn off and unplug the vacuum.
  • Lay the vacuum flat to access the brush roll area.
  • Follow the instructions on the unit to release the brush roll cover.
  • Remove any tangled hair or debris from the brush roll.
  • If replacement is needed, simply remove the old brush and insert a new one, ensuring it clicks into place.
