Setup
1. Battery Installation
The PTM95 label maker requires 4 AAA batteries (sold separately). To install the batteries:
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the back of the unit.
- Insert 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Recommended to use non-rechargeable batteries manufactured less than one year ago for best results.
2. Tape Cassette Installation
The PTM95 uses Brother Genuine P-touch M series non-laminated label cartridges. To install a tape cassette:
- Ensure the label maker is turned off.
- Open the tape cassette cover on the back of the unit.
- Insert the tape cassette firmly into the compartment, ensuring the tape end feeds through the label exit slot.
- Close the tape cassette cover.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the Power button (red circle with a line) to turn the label maker on or off. The device features an auto power-off function to conserve battery life.
2. Typing Text
Use the QWERTY keyboard to type your desired text. The easy-view display screen allows you to preview your text before printing.
- To type uppercase letters, press the Shift key and then the desired letter, or press Caps to toggle Caps Lock on/off.
- To enter numbers, press the Num key.
- To add symbols, press the Symbol key and navigate through the options.
- To delete characters, use the BS (Backspace) key.
3. Customizing Labels (Type Styles & Deco Patterns)
The PTM95 offers various customization options:
- Type Styles: Choose from nine distinctive type styles to enhance your label's appearance.
- Deco Patterns: Select from eight decorative patterns to add a unique touch to your labels. Press the DECO button to browse and select patterns.
4. Printing Labels
After typing and customizing your text:
- Press the Preview button to see how your label will look before printing.
- Press the Print button to start printing the label.

5. Cutting Labels
Once the label is printed, use the manual cutter located on the side of the device to cut the label. Push the cutter lever firmly to cut the tape.
