2. Setup
2.1 Unboxing and Components
Before starting, ensure all components are present. The package typically includes:

2.2 Battery Installation and Charging
- Open the battery compartment cover on the camera.
- Insert the lithium-ion battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
- To charge, connect the camera to a USB power source using the provided USB cable. The charging indicator will illuminate.
2.3 Memory Card Insertion
The Actioncam 415 supports Micro SD cards. A Class 10 or higher card is recommended for optimal performance.
- Locate the Micro SD card slot on the side of the camera (without the housing).
- Gently insert the Micro SD card with the contacts facing the correct direction until it clicks into place.
- To remove, press the card gently inward, and it will spring out.

2.4 Waterproof Housing and Mounting
The camera comes with a waterproof housing for underwater use and various mounting options.
- Waterproof Housing: For underwater activities up to 40 meters, use the sealed rear door. For activities where sound recording is important but splash protection is needed (e.g., cycling), use the splash-proof rear door. Ensure the housing is properly sealed before use.
- Mounting: Use the provided Safety Pads with 3M adhesive for flat or curved surfaces. Attach the camera to the desired mount using the quick camera mount or tripod adapter. The Secure Release System (SRS) is designed to release the camera from its mount in case of impact, preventing potential injury.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the Power/Mode button (usually on the front or top) for a few seconds until the screen illuminates.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Power/Mode button again for a few seconds until the camera shuts down.

3.2 Mode Selection
Press the Power/Mode button repeatedly to cycle through different modes such as Video, Photo, Playback, and Settings.
3.3 Video Recording
- Switch to Video mode.
- Press the Shutter/OK button (usually on top) to start recording. A red indicator light will typically flash, and a timer will appear on the screen.
- Press the Shutter/OK button again to stop recording.
3.4 Taking Photos
- Switch to Photo mode.
- Frame your shot using the 2-inch display.
- Press the Shutter/OK button to take a photo.

3.5 Wi-Fi Connectivity and App Control
The integrated Wi-Fi allows remote control of your Actioncam 415 via a smartphone or tablet. The intuitive app is available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Enable Wi-Fi on your Actioncam 415 through the settings menu.
- On your smartphone or tablet, connect to the camera's Wi-Fi network.
- Open the Rollei Actioncam app to control recording, view live footage, and adjust settings.
3.6 Time-Lapse Function
The camera supports time-lapse photography. Refer to the on-screen menu for specific settings to configure interval and duration.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
- Camera Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the camera body. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
