Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use, assembly, and maintenance of your MOPEDIA RP690B 4-Wheel Steel Rollator. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product and retain it for future reference.
Safety Information
- Maximum User Weight: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 136 kg (299 lbs). Exceeding this limit may cause instability and injury.
- Brakes: Always engage the brakes when sitting on the rollator or when it is stationary to prevent accidental movement.
- Stability: Ensure all four wheels are on a stable, level surface before use. Avoid uneven terrain, loose gravel, or slippery surfaces.
- Adjustments: Ensure all locking mechanisms are securely fastened after making any adjustments to the rollator, such as handle height.
- Supervision: If the user has cognitive impairments, ensure appropriate supervision during use.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect the rollator for wear and tear, especially brakes, wheels, and frame integrity. Do not use if any part is damaged or loose.
Setup and Assembly
The MOPEDIA RP690B rollator is designed for easy setup. It arrives largely pre-assembled and can be unfolded and adjusted for immediate use.
- Unfolding the Rollator: Gently pull the sides of the rollator apart until it fully extends and locks into its open position. Ensure all frame components are securely engaged.
- Adjusting Handle Height:
- Locate the height adjustment pins or levers on the handle tubes.
- Press or release the pins/levers and slide the handles up or down to the desired height.
- Ensure both handles are set to the same height and the pins/levers are fully engaged in the adjustment holes. The correct height allows the user to stand upright with a slight bend in the elbows while holding the handles.
- Attaching Accessories:
- Basket: Place the storage basket into the designated hooks or slots beneath the seat.
- Tray: Position the tray securely on top of the seat, ensuring it is stable before placing items on it.

Operating Instructions
- Walking with the Rollator:
- Stand upright behind the rollator, holding both handles firmly.
- Push the rollator forward a short distance, then step forward with one foot, followed by the other. Maintain a steady pace.
- Ensure the rollator remains close to your body for optimal balance and support.
- Using the Brakes: The RP690B features double-function brakes on the rear wheels.
- To Slow Down or Stop: Squeeze the brake levers on the handles upwards towards you. Release to disengage.
- To Lock the Brakes (Parking Brake): Push the brake levers downwards until they click into the locked position. This prevents the rollator from moving. Always engage the parking brake before sitting or standing.
- To Release the Parking Brake: Pull the brake levers upwards until they disengage from the locked position.
- Using the Seat:
- Ensure the rollator is on a level surface and the parking brakes are fully engaged.
- Turn around and slowly lower yourself onto the seat.
- Do not use the seat to propel the rollator or as a transport device.
- Using the Tray and Basket:
- The tray and basket are designed for carrying small personal items.
- Do not overload the basket or tray, as this can affect the rollator's stability.
- Distribute weight evenly to maintain balance.
- Folding for Storage and Transport:
- Remove any items from the basket and tray.
- Follow the specific folding mechanism for your rollator model (typically involves lifting a strap on the seat or pressing a release button).
- Once folded, the rollator can be stored or transported more easily.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the frame with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Wipe the seat, tray, and handles regularly.
- Wheel Inspection: Periodically check the wheels for wear, damage, or debris. Ensure they rotate freely.
- Brake Check: Test the brakes regularly to ensure they engage and lock effectively. If brakes feel loose or ineffective, consult a qualified technician or the seller.
- Fasteners: Check all screws, bolts, and other fasteners periodically to ensure they are tight. Do not overtighten.
- Storage: Store the rollator in a dry place, away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
