Operating Instructions
Unlocking the Door
- Activate Keypad: Touch the touchscreen with three fingers or the palm of your hand to illuminate the keypad.
- Enter Code: Input your valid 4-8 digit entry code.
- Confirm: Press the checkmark (✓) symbol.
The deadbolt will retract, and the door can be opened.
Locking the Door
- One-Touch Locking: Press any key on the keypad for 3 seconds, or press the checkmark (✓) symbol.
- Auto Relock: If enabled, the deadbolt will automatically extend after a set period (default is 30 seconds) once the door is closed. This feature can be configured in the lock's menu settings.
Managing Entry Codes
The lock supports up to 25 unique entry codes. Refer to the full programming guide for instructions on adding, modifying, or deleting user codes.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The Yale T1L deadbolt requires 4 AA alkaline batteries. When the batteries are low, the lock will provide an audible and visual low battery warning. To replace:
- Remove the interior battery cover.
- Replace all four AA batteries with new alkaline batteries.
- Replace the battery cover.
Important: Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
Emergency Battery Backup
If the batteries completely drain, you can power the lock temporarily using a standard 9V battery. Touch the 9V battery to the two terminals located at the bottom of the exterior keypad. While holding the 9V battery in place, enter your entry code to unlock the door.
Cleaning
Clean the touchscreen and lock exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish and electronic components. The lock features a rubber gasket to protect your door's finish during installation and use.
