Setup: Inserting a Picture or Document

1. Prepare the Frame: Carefully remove the frame from its packaging.
2. Remove Back Panel: Locate the flexible metal tabs on the back of the frame. Gently bend or rotate these tabs to release the back panel.
3. Remove Protective Film: The front protection (polystyrene plastic) has a thin protective film on both sides. Peel off this film completely from both the front and back surfaces of the plastic sheet. This film often has recycling symbols printed on it. Failure to remove it will result in a cloudy or marked appearance.

4. Insert Picture/Document: Place your desired picture or document (up to 8 1/4 x 11 3/4 inches, which is the international A4 standard size) face down onto the back panel. If a PH-neutral mount is included, place your picture within the mount opening.
5. Reassemble: Place the front protection sheet over your picture, followed by the back panel. Ensure all layers are aligned correctly.
6. Secure Back Panel: Bend or rotate the metal tabs back into their original position to securely hold the back panel in place.

Usage: Placement Options

The IKEA FISKBO frame offers flexible display options:

• Wall Hanging: The frame can be hung both horizontally and vertically. Use appropriate wall fasteners (not included) for your wall type. The back panel includes integrated hanging hardware.
• Tabletop Standing: The back panel is designed with a fold-out stand, allowing the frame to stand independently on a flat surface. This stand supports both horizontal and vertical orientations.

Maintenance

• Cleaning the Frame: Wipe the frame clean with a duster or a dry cloth. For stubborn marks, use a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent, then wipe dry immediately.
• Cleaning the Front Protection: The polystyrene plastic front protection can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or materials that may scratch the surface.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Picture appears cloudy or has marks on the front.

Solution: The polystyrene plastic front protection comes with a thin protective film on both sides. This film must be completely peeled off before use. The film often has recycling symbols printed on it, which can be mistaken for permanent marks.

Issue: Frame does not stand stably on a surface.

Solution: Ensure the fold-out stand on the back panel is fully extended and locked into position. Verify that the surface is flat and level. The frame can be oriented horizontally or vertically when standing.
