The Genelec G Two is a compact, active 2-way bookshelf speaker designed for high-quality audio reproduction. It features a 4.1-inch woofer and a 0.75-inch metal-dome tweeter, each powered by a dedicated Class-D amplifier, eliminating the need for external power amplifiers. The speaker's die-cast aluminum cabinet and rear-facing bass port contribute to its robust construction and acoustic performance.

Key features include:

Setup

  1. Placement: Position the G Two speakers in your desired listening location. For optimal stereo imaging, place them equidistant from your listening position and form an equilateral triangle. The Iso-Pod stand allows you to tilt the speaker for optimal acoustic axis alignment towards your ears.
  2. Room Compensation: Before connecting, consider adjusting the room compensation switches on the rear panel (refer to Figure 2).
    • LEVEL: Adjusts the overall output level.
    • TABLETOP: Engages a filter to compensate for reflections when placed on a flat surface like a desk.
    • LOW BASS: Reduces low-frequency output, useful in smaller rooms or when paired with a subwoofer.
    • BASS (-6 dB, -4 dB): Further bass attenuation options for challenging acoustic environments.
Start with all switches in the OFF position and adjust as needed after initial listening.
  3. Connect Audio Source: Using the supplied RCA-RCA cable or 3.5mm to stereo RCA cable, connect your audio source (e.g., TV, computer, preamplifier) to the RCA INPUT on the rear of the G Two speaker. Ensure the audio source is turned off or its volume is set to minimum before connecting.
  4. Connect Power: Connect the supplied mains cable to the MAINS INPUT on the rear of the speaker and then to a suitable wall outlet.
  5. Power On: Flip the ON/OFF switch on the rear panel to the 'ON' position. The indicator light on the front of the speaker will illuminate.
