2. Setup and Assembly

Unpacking and Components

Assembly Steps
- Connect the Extension Pole: Align the male end of the extension pole with the female receptacle on the motor unit. Push firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the connection is secure.
- Attach the Pruner Head: Connect the pruner head to the other end of the extension pole (or directly to the motor unit if not using the extension). Twist and lock the connection collar until it is tight.
- Install the Harness: Attach the harness clip to the designated attachment point on the pole. Adjust the strap for comfortable and balanced operation.
- Fill with Chain Oil: Unscrew the oil cap on the pruner head. Carefully pour the provided chain oil into the reservoir (80 ml capacity). Replace the cap securely. The chain will be automatically lubricated during operation.

- Check chain tension: The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled freely around the guide bar. The tool features tool-free chain tensioning for easy adjustment.
- Verify chain oil level.
- Inspect the power cord for damage and ensure it is properly connected to the traction discharge system to prevent accidental disconnection.
Starting and Stopping
- To Start: Press the safety switch and then squeeze the acceleration trigger simultaneously.
- To Stop: Release the acceleration trigger.
Pruning Techniques
The guide bar is inclined at 15° to facilitate and secure branch cutting. For branches up to 4 meters high, use the extension pole.
- Cutting Small Branches: Position the pruner head on the branch and allow the chain to cut through without forcing.
- Cutting Larger Branches: For branches over 5 cm in diameter, make an undercut first to prevent bark stripping, then complete the cut from the top.
- Maintaining Balance: Use the ergonomic harness to distribute the weight and maintain control, especially when working at extended lengths.
