Setup
- Power Connection: Connect the board to a DC 5V power source using a Micro USB cable. Alternatively, you can solder your own power connection to the designated +5V and GND pads on the board.
- Audio Output Connection: Connect headphones, an active loudspeaker box, or an amplifier to the audio output jack. If you are using passive loudspeakers, an amplifier must be connected first.
Operating Instructions
Bluetooth Mode
- Ensure the board is powered on. The LED indicator will blink blue, indicating it is ready for pairing.
- On your mobile phone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device, open the Bluetooth settings.
- It is recommended to delete any previously connected Bluetooth devices from your phone's list to ensure a stable connection.
- Your device will automatically search for and pair with the module (often named 'Xpecial audio'). No pairing codes or button mashing are required.
- Once successfully connected, your phone will indicate that 'Xpecial audio' is connected, and the LED on the board will blink blue.
USB/TF Card Decoding Play Mode
- Insert a USB drive or TF (Micro SD) card containing MP3, WMA, WAV, or FLAC audio files into the respective slot on the board.
- Press the MODE button to switch between Bluetooth, USB, and TF card input modes. The board will automatically begin playing audio from the selected source.
Key Operations
- MODE: Short press to switch between Bluetooth receive, USB decoding play, and TF card decoding play modes.
- NEXT: Short press to play the next song. Long press to increase volume.
- BACK: Short press to play the previous song. Long press to decrease volume.
- PLAY/PAUSE: Short press to play or pause the current track.
- EQ: Short press to cycle through sound effect presets (only valid under USB or TF card playing mode).
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the board. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Handle the board with care to avoid damaging components. Avoid static discharge.
- Power Supply: Always use a stable DC 5V power supply to prevent damage.
Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the Micro USB cable is securely connected and the 5V power source is active. Check for proper polarity if using soldered power connections.
- No Audio Output: Verify that the audio output cable is correctly connected to headphones, active speakers, or an amplifier. Ensure the volume on both the board (long press NEXT) and the connected audio device is turned up. Check if the correct input mode (Bluetooth, USB, TF card) is selected using the MODE button.
- Bluetooth Connection Unstable/Fails: Delete previous Bluetooth pairings on your phone/device. Ensure no other devices are trying to connect simultaneously. Keep the board within the effective transmission distance (10-15 meters) and minimize obstructions.
- USB/TF Card Not Playing: Ensure the USB drive or TF card is inserted correctly. Verify that the audio files are in supported formats (MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC). Try a different USB drive or TF card to rule out media issues.
- Poor Audio Quality/Noise: Ensure the power supply is clean and stable. Some low-quality USB power bricks can introduce noise. Try a different power source. Check audio cables for damage or loose connections.
