Setup

Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge your JBL Charge 3 speaker. The charging port is located under a protective flap on the back of the speaker.

1. Open the protective flap on the rear of the speaker.
2. Connect the provided USB cable to the speaker's micro USB port.
3. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
4. The LED indicators on the front of the speaker will illuminate to show charging progress. All five LEDs will be solid white when fully charged.

Powering On/Off

Operating Instructions

Bluetooth Connection

The JBL Charge 3 can connect wirelessly to your Bluetooth-enabled devices.

1. Turn on the JBL Charge 3 speaker.
2. Press the Bluetooth button (Bluetooth logo) on the top panel. The Bluetooth indicator will flash blue, indicating it is in pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
4. Select "JBL Charge 3" from the list of devices.
5. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will turn solid blue, and you will hear an audible confirmation.

The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when in range and powered on.

Music Playback

• Switch between calls: During a call, press the Play/Pause button once to switch to an incoming call.

JBL Connect

JBL Connect allows you to wirelessly link multiple JBL Connect enabled speakers together for an amplified listening experience.

1. Ensure both JBL Connect enabled speakers are powered on.
2. Press the JBL Connect button (infinity symbol) on the first speaker.
3. Press the JBL Connect button on the second speaker.
4. The speakers will connect automatically. Once connected, they will play the same audio source.

For stereo sound, use the JBL Connect app to assign left and right channels to the connected speakers.

Maintenance

Waterproofing (IPX7)

The JBL Charge 3 is IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can be immersed in water up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) for up to 30 minutes. To maintain its waterproof integrity:

• Ensure the protective flap covering the charging port and auxiliary input is securely closed before exposing the speaker to water.
