6. Maintenance and Care
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your vacuum cleaner. Always unplug the appliance before performing any maintenance.
6.1. Dust Bag Replacement
The Jocel JA004222 uses 2L dust bags (3 paper bags and 1 fabric bag included). Replace the dust bag when the dust indicator (if present) shows full, or when suction power noticeably decreases.
- Open the dust bag compartment cover.
- Carefully remove the full dust bag, ensuring the opening is sealed to prevent dust leakage.
- Insert a new dust bag, aligning it correctly with the holder.
- Close the dust bag compartment cover firmly until it latches.
6.2. Filter Cleaning and Replacement
This vacuum cleaner features a 5-filter system. Regular cleaning and timely replacement of filters are crucial for maintaining suction power and air quality.
- Motor Protection Filter: Located near the dust bag. Check and clean this filter regularly (e.g., monthly) by tapping out dust or rinsing if washable (check manual for specific filter type).
- Exhaust Filter (HEPA or similar): Located at the air outlet. This filter captures fine particles. Check and clean/replace as per manufacturer recommendations (typically every 6-12 months, or when visibly dirty). The product specifications mention "Cartridge" type filter, which often implies a HEPA or similar high-efficiency filter.
- Ensure all filters are completely dry before reinserting them into the vacuum cleaner.
6.3. General Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Check the floor nozzle for tangled hair or debris and remove them.
- Inspect the hose for blockages. If blocked, carefully remove the obstruction.
